KCBM: Thursday Volleyball – Theis Park
May 24 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm
We have found the best place to setup is on the west side of the park along Oak Street.
Parking is available in three areas, the Kauffman Memorial Garden parking lot off of Rockhill Rd, Locust Street on the East side of the Prak and Oak St on the west side.
Don’t know how to play? Not to worry, We will go over general game play and practice before we start the games.
Everyone is welcome to join us. We are a not-so-competitive group that gets together to exercise and to catch up with each other. We usually gather for dinner afterwards at places that don’t mind having hungry, tired, sweaty and hairy gays in their restaurants.
As a reminder, here is the Code of Conduct we established for ourselves.
Kansas City Bear Mafia Volleyball Code of Conduct.
KCBM Volleyball is a great place for volleyball players of all skill levels to come together and share in, or discover, their enjoyment for the game. We are not a competitive league and play is purely recreational. However, we do enjoy healthy competition. Our main goal is simple, we want all players to have fun! We have a few simple guidelines, and do our best to follow them.
1. We always treat each other with respect and dignity. And we hold each other to that standard.
2. We work together as a team and strive for three hits when possible.
3. We communicate with each other. Do your best to call the ball and provide encouragement to your fellow teammates.
4. Teams are picked by random chip drawing, best 2 out of 3 games and then new teams.
