DESCRIPTION:On behalf of the Kansas City Bear Mafia\, the Show Me Bears of St Louis\, and the Ozark Bears of Springfield\, we’d like to welcome you to Meet in the Middle 2017! This year’s “Meet in the Middle” is the fifth annual meetup of Missouri’s three regional bear groups. Come join us for a weekend of fun and fellowship with bears of all shapes and sizes from all over the state! There will be dinner events\, bar events\, and hopefully a pool party or two for everyone to mingle at\, see old friends\, and make some new ones! \nJust like the previous four years before it\, the event will be hosted in Columbia\, Missouri. This is not your typical bear run\, as there is no registration fee and no badges. All you have to do is make a reservation at the group hotel(Information listed below) and show up wherever the bears are throughout the weekend(schedule listed below). Please bring as many of your friends as you’d like\, the more the merrier! So go ahead and mark yourself as “going”\, and keep checking back here for new information as it’s announced! \nThe host hotel will be the Days Inn again this year. We’ve got the last 40 rooms the hotel has available this weekend blocked off for our event at a price of $85 per a night. You MUST call to make your reservation and make sure to tell them you are with “Meet in the Middle” so they put you in our block. If you reserve online you will not get the group pricing. The hotel info is: \nDays Inn Columbia\n900 Interstate 70 Drive SW\nColumbia\, MO 65203\n(573)442-1191 \nMeet in the Middle Scedule: \nFriday 10:00PM-1:30AM\nYin Yang Night Club Welcomes “Meet in the Middle”\nFrom 10-12 have some drinks while gazing at a hot selection of bear-lesque dancers! Hosted by the hilarious Dirty Dorothy! Dance the rest of the night away to all request dance music with DJ Bailey! The club does open at 5:30 so feel free to get there as early as you’d like. \nSaturday\nNoon-2:00pm Lunch (location tbd)\nThis meal is dutch treat(each person pays for himself). You can join the group at a common location or venture out into town and see what Columbia has to offer. \n3:00pm-6:00pm Pool Party\nBears take over the “biggest indoor pool in Columbia”! Though this isn’t an exclusive party\, the other hotel guests don’t tend to stick around. \n7:00pm-1:30am Arch and Column Pub hosts “MITM”\nDinner provided! The good folks at Arch and Column serve a fantastic spread for dinner! There is no charge for food but donations will be accepted. Then stick around for refreshing cocktails and mingling with other bears. If you don’t like music\, hang out on the huge outdoor patio!
