Similar to our weekly updates! If you already have unlimited texts with your mobile phone plan this will cost you nothing. However, if you don’t have an unlimited plan we will only send up to 8 messages a month. To kick off the fun we’ll have a contest this weekend during Bear Bust! T-SHIRTS ARE BACK! Just in time for Bear Crossing you can now own a KC Bear Mafia t-shirt with our new logo in three awesome colours! On sale now at http://kcbearmafia.org! All sizes are just $15 each and we can go from small to 5XL! These shirts have not been printed yet and if you order today we anticipate having the shirts ready by the end of the month. In order to keep costs low we are not doing on-demand printing at this time and will instead send them in batches to our local vendor. We will ship them, too! (As long as you’re in the USA!) However, once you place your order you will then be notified when your shirt is ready and can be picked up at either the next Bear Bust (First Saturday of every month) or the next KC Bear Mafia meeting (Third Wednesday of every month). You can also make arrangements to pick it up any time between. We can’t wait to see everyone wearing a Bear Mafia t-shirt around town and beyond! If you’re outside of the USA and want a shirt, contact us and we’ll see what we can do!

On Friday, choose between tasty tacos, tiny superheroes or a big gay sing-along. There are still tickets available for Ant-Man at Ward Parkway starting at 7:45, as well as for Big Gay Sing presented by the Heartland Men’s Chorus​, which runs throughout the weekend. Or get your taco fix with Frank at Carniceria y Tortilleria San Antonio. Then you can stop by Missie B’s​ to have a few drinks with birthday boy Rick Zikes, or head over to Industry Video Bar​ for their monthly Boy Bust.

Saturday, don’t forget that volleyball is starting at 10:00 instead of 9:00! Then Derrick Rieke and Christopher Webb are hosting one of their infamous house parties, and you’re all invited! The grill starts up at 6:00, so you can bring a dish to share and BYOB. Or stop in later, the party will be running all night! We’ll also be giving you the chance to register for Bear Crossing at the discounted price of $99 as well as a chance to win some fun prizes like tickets to a Royal’s game!

Saturday morning volleyball is happening and later be sure to check out several Mafia members in the Heartland Men’s Chorus performance of “A Little Bit Wicked” at the Folly Theatre. (Check HMCKC.org for more details!)

Saturday we’ll be volunteering at Harvesters starting at 10am. This will not only be a good workout but a great opportunity to help support a local food pantry. We had a lot of fun last time and this is also a great event to bring other family and friends to. There’s no limit to the number of people who can help. Feel free to also bring any canned goods and non-perishable items.

We’ve got another fun weekend ahead of us.
First up is Bear Coffee on Friday afternoon. Come out and get your caffeine fix after work, then grab a bite and head over to Tommy’s bar. They’ve invited us back for family night, and there will be vodka drink specials!

If you’d like to register to be a vendor at Bear Crossing 2 you can now do so on the registration page! Our hotel only has one large hospitality suite so we have to make it dual purpose. You have the option to vend on either Friday or Saturday if you do not wish to break down your booth. Otherwise, you can vend both days and we can provide some help to you in order to make it easier to sell your goods both days! Also, vendors are able to purchase up to two full run passes for the low price of $65 each! Just be sure to register before July 31st and make sure to secure your hotel room!
